Toledo Jazz Newsletter -- Toledo's Jazz Legacy -- For Your Consideration

Toledo Jazz Newsletter
For Your Consideration
Many years ago Randy Richie and Dennis Sankovich founded the Toledo Jazz Society and the Toledo Jazz Orchestra, creating an organization with deep roots in the community. Recently, Randy contacted me because he passionately supports all efforts to help publish my book, Toledo's Jazz Legacy. What follows is a letter he composed in support of the book. Currently, there is a fundraising effort underway. Please read what Randy penned.
SPECIAL EDITION OF THE TOLEDO JAZZ NEWSLETTER
RE: DOUG’S BOOK TOLEDO’S JAZZ LEGACY
FROM: RANDY RICHIE
No doubt most of you are aware that Doug has written a wonderful history of jazz in Toledo and of his vision to have it published by an academic press. While being more expensive than internet-style self-publishing, this path means his book would be purchased by all the major libraries in the country and thereby spreading news of Toledo’s special connection to jazz throughout the USA!
To this end, Doug now has a great opportunity with the Ohio State University but needs our financial help to make this happen. The Toledo Alliance for the Performing Arts, the home of the Toledo Jazz Orchestra and the “Jazz Lives Here” initiative, is helping by providing a link to a portal where you can easily make a contribution (that is also tax deductible!)
Won’t you please help our friend Doug see his UNPAID labor of love come to fruition by clicking here https://www.artstoledo.com/toledo-jazz-legacy
(If you have already given, we thank you!)
Thanks
Randy (for Doug)
